[Update] Halloween Nerdaway: House of the Dead caption contest

We have teamed up with Sega Europe to hold a lovely little contest, or “Nerdaway” as we like to call them, for Halloween this year.

Not only is the contest in aide (fear) of Halloween, but it is also to help celebrate House of the Dead: Overkill.  As those lucky Sega Europe employees got their freak on (literally) last night, at a special House of the Dead/Halloween party.  Check it out here.

Ah, nothing better than a sexy nurse, covered in blood.  Or is there?   There could be, as the winner of the contest will receive a some rare House of the Dead: Overkill goodies and a lot of self pride (I’m sure).

The Prizes:

• House of the Dead: Overkill t-shirt, with the slogan; “WTF I’m Already Dead” (only 100 of these ever made!).

• House of the Dead: Overkill press-kit, comes in a cool VHS box, containing another limited edition t-shirt and post card.

Some of you may remember the House of the Dead press-kit from a few months ago.  But if you don’t, then be sure to check the photos of our press-kit.  It is pretty damn awesome.

What you need to do:

The contest could not be easier.  All you need to do is think up a humerous caption for the picture displayed at the top of the article, and send it to us at our Sega Nerds email address: seganerds@gmail.com

Please title the email “Halloween Nerdaway” - so we can quickly identify what it is.

[Update] Or, to make it nice and easy for you all, we are going to allow entries to be posted in the comments section of this post too. Aren’t we nice?

You can send your captions in the form of a sentence, or create your own mock up, using the image, and insert your caption on the picture.

The rules are very simple:

• Make sure the caption is funny or witty.
• It can be rude and/or crude, but not too (openly) offensive please.
• Swearing is allowed (as long as it is funny).
• Participants can enter as many times as they wish. (So go nuts).

That’s it, told you it was easy!

But please remember to give us your name when entering, and (if you regularly comment here or in the forums), your site nickname.  Remember, you are allowed multiple entries, so there is no need to send in fake names.

The winner will be the judges’ (Sega Nerds staff’s) favourite caption.  The contest will run for one week from today, closing Saturday 8th November 2008.  The winner should be announced a couple of days later on Monday 10th November.

A very big thank you goes out to Sega Europe for supplying the prizes for the contest.  Now, what you waiting for?  Think funny!
