TGS 08: More Sonic Unleashed Wii footage

IGN has got some more footage from the Wii version of Sonic Unleashed
As I said before, I’m impressed with the way the Wii version of the game is looking.
Despite having lower quality textures than the 360/PS3 versions, this game is looking very good for a Wii title. Though there is still an issue of controls. As you can see in the video, a few corners are not taken very well by the player.
Let’s just hope it’s the player getting used to the controls. It would be immensley frustrating if the game’s controls are not tight enough.

Out of every video where there’s an actual player involved, the “drift” move has never been pulled off. A lot of the turns that the tester is screwing up here may have something to do with him not using the drift at all.
Or yeah, god awful controls.

I have noticed a lot of videos (usually the 360 version) where the player is constantly bumping into walls.
And in each one of those videos, I find it almost impossible to resist screaming “There’s a switch right there! Use the homing attack! No, don’t hold RIGHT, use the side-step!”
It’s like watching your little brother play.

So where the hell is the 2D gameplay they have been promising? All they ever show is the crappy 3D gameplay that looks like ever other 3D Sonic game before it. Must they continue making the same mistakes?
