TGS 08: 20 minutes of Yakuza 3 footage

At last years TGS Sega had a special extended preview of Kenzan! (remeber the Yakuza prequel everyone was calling Yakuza 3?), which gave the audience there a good 10 minute (or so) preview of what to expect from the upcoming game. Well this year is no different, except the lucky audience received a 20 minute preview of Yakuza 3. Lucky bastards!
Though someone was kind enough to record the preview, and with the wonders of the Internet, we can all enjoy it.  Lucky us!
Unfortunately, the whole thing is in Japanese, with Japanese writing. So I doubt many of you can understand what’s going on fully. But anyone who has played Yakuza 1 and 2, will likely find the video interesting.  Not only do most of the original cast appear, but there is also a bit of a surprise/spoiler - so if you don’t want to ruin the game’s story too much, perhaps best not to watch it.
The game is looking very sexy.  It’s good to actually see the game world in high quality visuals, everything looks crisp and clear, unlike the PS2s slightly blurry effects in some areas. The only (minor) gripe I have is that the faces look weird. The facial expressions and features all look great… but their skin looks a bit like shiny rubber to me. Not a massive thing, but it’s all I seem to focus on whenever people are talking.
Still, the game looks fantastic, and the fighting looks f*&%ing great. Let’s pray for a western launch.

this is by far sega’s best game i dont like the
first two because the graphics were bad and the
gameplay was too shallow.but i think this will rival
yu suzuki masterpieces.

I only watched the first quarter because I still haven’t gotten round to play 2 (and I think something’s already been spoiled…).
Bu yeah, wow. This looks insanely good and I wasn’t even the biggest fan of 1.

COOL!!! I’m a huge fan of Yakuza’s saga.
It would be pretty nice of sega to launch this game subtitled in english,in order to import the game without waiting like a year for subtitles…
