Crazy Sega Nerds: Surreal Shenmue dance

This video link was randomly sent to us, and to be perfectly honest I’m not sure what to make of it. So naturally I have decided to share it with you all! I guess some will call this “art” - I just call it strange.
It is basically some guy dancing topless, with weird psychedelic colours, arty editing and the Shenmue theme as background music.
The one thing that got me though wasn’t just the weird ‘dancing’ or use of colours but the video appears to contain some perculiar subliminal messages, which I have noted down for you (after the break).
Some of the messages are easily readable, but most flash by far too quickly to read.Â

So… yeah I don’t quite know what to think. I thought maybe the messages are quotes from Shenmue, but I don’t remember any of them.

the clip of his feet wiggling around is just the funniest thing.
I think you’re right about the quotes being from the game. I recognize almost all of them. Just not that “twit” one…?

Very different if you ask me.
I can imagine the “Who the hell are you talking to?” and the “Hahah this kid has a death wish” being the Shenmue (though I don’t remember anyone specific saying them).
But did some of the cast really say “LET ME INVITE YOU TO HELL” “THE DEPTHS OF HELL” ??
Because I really don’t remember that!

Ryo definitely says “Let’s get sweaty.” I know because I’ve made many-a Shenmue jokes with that line.
If I remember right he says it right before you start practicing in the parking lot.

Well sounds like I need to bone up a bit on my Shenmue quotes.
The only one I really remember is how to ask people where I can find some sailors ;)

I think ‘Who the hell do you think you are talking to?’ is said by the biker with sunglasses and mullet/head band ‘do’ in ‘You Arcade’.
