Sega has just put up a list of its TGS line up, and in it is its new RPG with Kodama Rieko and Yuzo Koshiro . Its called 7th Dragon - not a remake of an old game. It also happens to be for the DS because that handheld is obviously lacking RPGs (joke).

Mystery over; now we wait for trailers and in game screenshots.  Then, hopefully the announcement that it’s coming to the West.

Gotta say I was hoping for this to be a major console title, but I’m still excited to see what it’s like.

BTW, hope at least it will not be another cheap 2D dungeon crawler… at least the 3D graphics.

This is hilarious. SegaNerds really is the first place for Sega news. I read the corresponding article “We’re making RPG Now” here yesterday, and it just barely appeared on other sites today. Now today, I see this on here, and I’ll bet that this news won’t show up until tomorrow on other sites!

I love SegaNerds. Most of them, at least.

Skies of Arcadia is on Gamecube/Dreamcast. ;0

I wouldn’t want a sequel to the game, it was pretty much wrapped up. I like thats a new RPG title. I can’t wait to play it :)

I don’t see what people have against DS RPGs. At least if you’re a Sega RPG fan you know where to go.

I am extremely hyped for this right now. Then again, I love RPGs, anything with anime, and anything touched by Sega. So I can’t really lose with this one.

This game dosn’t breathe sega, it looks too much like Nippon Itchi stuff.

@youcantcatchtheblue
Making a sequal to Skies would be equivilant to a sequal of Tales of Symphonia, if every nook and cranny is already found so why go back to the same world. And plus, would you really want to play the same characters at level one again?

Uh, Taco Lord… You know they made a sequel to Symphonia, right? xD

Meh, they could work something out, I’m sure…

They could just change the world… you know instead of Skies of Arcadia, Skies of ’something else’ change up the world, characters and story but still the same flying pirate setting with all the works.

@Colaya
I’m fully aware, that’s why I’m using it as an example. I love both games, but in it’s full respect, a sequel won’t do it justice. Plus Symphonia II’s design looks closer to the PS2 Tales games and the design isn’t as consistant with the first title.
