Rumour: Sega trademarks new IP

According to German website, Gamefront, Sega Japan has filed a patent out on a new IP, Whirlwind Stories.Â
I’m putting it down as a rumour for now, as Gamefront hasn’t actually given a source, and I can’t seem to find any other sites with the same story. But Gamefront is pretty reliable, and I don’t doubt that it will turn out to be real.Â
All that is known about the new game is the name, which is probably a ‘working title’ and might change in due course. The real question is, just what type of game will Whirlwind Stories be? And on what system?

Sounds like an RPG for the DS

defintiely sounds like a new JRPG franchise, but i have a feeling fi thats right, itll be either for the Wii exclusively, or the X360 and PS3 only

SOJ have recently put a patenet for a JRPG which sounded like a DS game so i’m guessing this might have somthing to do with it.
