Since the announcement trailer just before E3 this year, and then the additional screenshots shown at E3, we haven’t heard or seen anything from the Creative Assembly’s Stormrise.

Unfortunately there is no new information on the game, but Sega has let out a few new screenshots, to wet our apetites.

Dubbed as being the first “truly 3D RTS,” Stormrise is the first RTS game Creative Assembly has made outside of the super popular Total War franchise.  But unlike Total War, Stormrise has only been announced for the Xbox 360 and PS3, and it’s looking good already.

@Kyle - Im not sure which creature you are speaking of. The shadows looked ok to me.

But you have to remember this is a RTS - chances are they may not be pushing for top of the range shadow and lighting effects - as most people won’t even see them, as the camera will be further out from the action during play.

So these up close screens, to me, look quite cool.

This game looks pretty interesting, can’t wait to see actual gameplay. Model wise, I’m pretty impressed design wise. The way the numbered units are standing remindes me of Rise of Legends.

Friends of mine produce models of equal quality at my school all the time, so I’m not too surprised on how long it would take to produce them versus animating them.
