One of the most intruiging pieces of news is that the game will feature special Sega-themed levels, with beloved characters from a variety of Sega titles.  So that’s something nice for all Sega Nerds to get their teeth into.  Also coming soon, will be two lovely trailers (as soon as they can go up on Youtube).

Also, with this latest batch of details, Sega has officially confirmed the rumours, and the game will feature downloadable tracks.  Huzzah!   But no mention of cost - if any.

These screenshots are definitely doctored. Not only is the Wii incapable of producing these high-definition images, but the pixels aren’t even consistent within the screenshots themselves.

I dunno. I played the game recently - and it did look very pretty.
But I didn’t exactly stop and look at the finer details - as I was more concerned with hitting the notes, and strutting my funky stuff.

-If the images have been doctored, then Sega/Gearbox are being very naughty (we certainly didn’t do anything to them).
Then again Sony lies about their titles all the time - yet no one seems to complain.

A NiGHTS level would SO work well with this.

Besides, i had a dream the other night where NiGHTS was dancing. IT’S A SIIIIGN!!

    Yeah. Anyways. Moving on.

Correct me if I’m wrong - but I recall reading that “Dreams Dreams” from NiGHTS was in the game.

So it could very possibly have a NiGHTS level. :o)

I think the old DC vers had Dreams Dreams and Burning Angels

I wonder what kinda poses they could make if they used that new WiiMote Motion tracker.

Imagine realtime 1:1 movement recognition on both your arms… AND MARACAS!

    Speculation time!
NiGHTS - The odds of NiGHTS having a level are probably the best out of any Sega franchise.
    Splash Garden, perhaps?
(Side-note: OMG! DiGi Valentine! I remember you from the NiD forums I hung out at before Journey of Dreams came out!)
Space Channel 5: This HAS to happen. This. HAS. To. Happen. Amigo vs. Ulala maraca shakedown, anyone?
Alex Kidd: Wouldn’t hold my breath, but anything can happen…
Jet Set Radio: You know you want the Shibuya bus station as a level.
Chu Chu Rocket: Not gonna happen, but that won’t stop me from wanting it. A lot.
Shenmue: …Somehow, I find this doubtful.

I could picture Ryo Hazuki shakin’ his booty to the funky beats ;o)
    …or Lan Di :oD

@Nirniva - hey, long time no see. :)

As for NiGHTS to be featured in Samba De.
Well, TRiPPY drew a small comic back in the day of one her friends in a nightmare. This particular page, if you will - http://astrima.deviantart.com/art/Falling-Dreams-Pg-2-6506118
What’s funny about this is the Las Ketchup song was not used in the original version of Samba. When we watched the video of the latest Samba game we were quite shocked at the fact that the Las Ketchup song was now in the new version of the game. TRiPPY done that comic a really long time ago.

Strange that. First blue feathers on NiGHTS in JoD and now the Las Ketchup song in Samba.
….darling, i think Sega are stalking you again. *hides the wife*

I wonder how many Sega related levels there will be in this game. Imagine the possibilities. o.o

They need a Streets of Rage level with a remixed song of the beach level in SOR1
    That would be awsome.

Samba De Amigo is looking better all the time.

Me wantee. However, I also need to pay for the upcoming semester and those ridiculous gas prices.

Screw it. I need something to play on my Wii. Plus, what’s the point of owning one if you can’t entice college babes with it?

    @DiGi Valentine
It’s not Sega that’s stalking her. It’s the Las Ketchup song. The Las Ketchup song CONTROLS REALITY.
As for the Sega stages…I’m guessing we’re going to get about 3-5 themed stages, most likely Green Hill Zone (confirmed), a NiGHTS level (Splash Garden, Aqua Garden, or Spring Valley, probably, as they’re among the more iconic locations from the series), and something from Space Channel 5, a Super Monkey Ball (finally, a REAL answer to one of the great Sega Nerd arguments…”Who is the superior Sega monkey, AiAi or Amigo?”), and Jet Set Radio. I also fully support the inclusion of Evil Amigo as a playable character.

Oh, and my compliments to TRiPPY on the great artwork!
