Sega racing for the podium in the UK

Yeah ok, that title is a crap way of implying that Sega is currently standing in the UK charts with two sports titles. Olympic titles to be precise.
Beijing Olympics 2008 see’s itself climb four positions this week, hitting fifth place. And Mario & Sonic Olympics is still hanging in the charts, at number eight.
It would have been cool to see Beijing hit a higher position, however as I’m not a massive fan of Olympic titles, my only reason would be to see Sega beating out THQ’s Big Beach Sports -at number four.
The full top ten chart will appear after the break. There were no new entries into the top ten (week ending July 5th 2008), and as a result we see Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl holding the number one spot (yeah it was only released recently in the UK!). Also after restocking the country with ‘balance boards’ Wii Fit has remained in the top ten, standing off at number seven.
1. Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Nintendo)
2. Battlefield: Bad Company (EA)
3. LEGO Indiana Jones (LucasArts)
4. Big Beach Sports (THQ)
5. Beijing 2008 (Sega)
6. Top Spin 3 (2K Sports)
7. Wii Fit (Nintendo)
8. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games (Sega)
9. Wii Play (Nintendo)
10. The Bourne Conspiracy (Vivendi)

We’ve been running pretty dry on Sega news these past few weeks…. I can’t wait what we’ll get to see from Sega at E3.

Beijing ‘08 was never going to be a number one hit. You know, all the pollution/Tibet/ethnic/political controversy surrounding China.
