New Sonic Unleashed info revealed in Portugese magazine

MaxiConsolas, a popular Portugese video game magazine, has published a new Sonic Unleashed preview this month with some juicy new tidbits about the hotly anticipated title. The preview revealed that, like in Sonic and the Secret Rings, Sonic’s abilities will be able to be improved through experience points gained throughout the game.
The magazine also confirmed that Sonic’s other friends, including Tails, will be playable during mini-games throughout the game. Other locales that will be present in the game will New York and China.
In their impressions of the game, they were impressed with the camera and how the Hedgehog Engine handles the transitions between 2D and 3D, but they noted some noticeable slowdown at some points.

MaxiConsolas tends to be really picky with graphics, so it’s not bad to “only” have some minor slowdown issues

Yay, slowdown! I hope one of those mini-games involves Team Chaotix. Or at the very least have Nack make a cameo one one of the levels.

As long as they control well or are fun to play, i dont mind that the other characters are playable to be truthful. It forces the game to not be repetitive doing the same thing over and over again. Who’s eagar to see Tails NOT be so useless? i know i am >_> And i can only hope…
