Sonic Unleashed Wii screens finally shown

Sonic sells best on Nintendo consoles, so it was sorta odd seeing all the Sonic Unleashed images, so far, shown off only on the Xbox 360. Even at Sega’s Gamer Day they only showed the 360 version, frankly it had me a bit worried.
I’m still worried about the game, but not as much as before. Nintendo Power showed off a couple of screens for Sonic Unleash on the Wii, in this months issue.
Though I still don’t understand why they chose to show off the brown level. Am I the only one that thought Sonic and the Secret of the Rings looked better than the current shots shown? These are scans though. I’ll wait for more screens before judging.

On one hand, the 360 graphics blow Wii away. On the other, the Wii Sonic looks soooo much more Sonic Adventure-ish and I LOVE that.

After looking at the Wii screens, I have to admit, I actually like the simpler shading of Wii Sonic than 360 Sonic. Sure the latter has more detail, but maybe I like it more simple.

The backgrounds do seem browner than those of the 360 version, which I lament. Hopefully, though, less graphic detail will ensure that it runs at a solid 60 fps. Framerate and aesthetic are together more effective than detail, and Secret Rings running at 30 fps was a real downer…

Holy crap, sorry but those Wii screens look nowhere as good as the 360 screens. I was hoping the Wii could push its limits to match the gorgeous lighting and shading in the 360 version, but this doesn’t look good at all for Wii owners…

I don’t know if magazine scans really do justice though Sonic’s shoe on that rail grind picture really is blocky. Not as polished as Secret Rings so far. Then again, I think all these next gen graphics are silly — I’m still amazed by the graphics of Dreamcast games when I pop them in after not having played them for a while. :P
The thing I’m watching for is the fact that the Wii version is supposed to have Wii-specific levels.. I’m concerned that means I have to buy both the 360 AND Wii version.

They showed more then just the “brown level” in Nintendo Power. I’m the one who scanned the images and sent them to Gonintendo. I just picked two random pics from the issue and scanned them. Guess I didn’t choose wisely. >_>

Those magazine scans look a little blury, but however says that this is Sonic Adventure graphics is blind as a bat.

Did they have the greek or england levels? (the England one is that one shown in comparison)
