More Sega Toys robotic antics, with the Dream Dog DX

As if last week wasn’t enough, when we brought you information on four separate gadgets from Sega Toys, there is yet another toy to keep you entertained. Unlike the Homestar gadgets or the robots we reported on, this one is more for the kids.
The “Dream Dog DX: Golden Retriever” was shown at the Tokyo Toy show recently, and is the latest robo-pet to hit the market.
This cuddly device is said to respond to voice commands. You can order it to do such things as; sit, roll-over, bark and apparently will also try to nip your fingers - so be careful!
Of course there is always a draw-back, the costly price of 34,250Yen, (incl. tax), or approximately - £162/$320. However, it seems another Japanese site is selling it at a discounted price of 29,800Yen.
While the price is fairly high for a “toy” dog, you have to remember it is a robotic dog - and also cheaper than buying a real dog! I know real dogs are more fun, and you can love them more, but this would be perfect for people with a flat, or an annoying kid who desperately wants a pet - but you know will get bored after a few months. At least with this if they get bored, all you need do is take the batteries out and put it in a cupboard.
The Dream Dog DX will be released this September 26th in Japan, no word of a western release just yet.

This dog kinda looks like a worn out kids toy.

That’s what you think Joe, until you see a patrol truck accidentally crash into the dog and explode…And then from the rumble, emerges a endoskeleton of the dog, ready to hunt you down.
SEGA’s revenge against the world is soon going to be completed, robot girlfriends, machine dogs…Who would have thought it would be SEGA, who ended up as Skynet.

As long as they kill all the Nintendo and Sony fanwankers first i don’t care.

Well enough people will need to buy them first for the plan to be effective enough.
No doubt Nintendo or Sony will copy them - everyone goes crazy because you can get a robo-Mario… Nintendo ends up destroying the world…
(different day, same old sh*t)
