Sega Deals: Universe at War really cheap at Amazon

by Chris on June 23rd, 2008

universe-at-war.jpgEveryone’s favorite online retailer, Amazon, has just drastically reduced the price for the 360 and PC versions of Universe at War: Earth Assault. The 360 version is currently at $21.86, and the PC is a low $12.68 - that’s absolutely sick, and there’s no good reason why you shouldn’t get this game if you don’t already own it.

We gave the game an 8.5, and here’s what Ryan thought of the game:

In the end, Universe at War is a great game with some small setbacks, that don’t ruin the game but hold it back from being truly brilliant. I hope the game gets a sequels and the developers work on fixing up the small issues.

See there? It’s not every day you can get such a good game for so cheap. Hurry up and buy!

I actually own the 360 version and it is a fun game. But perhaps more complex than the likes of Command and Conquer.
I think fans of the genre will enjoy it quite a bit.

I think the PC RTS community should hang their heads in collective shame for not buying this title. But Sega marketing should be blamed as well for not making a bigger noise about this game. After all these are the guys who made the Star Wars RTS game.

Yeah ROJM - you have a point.
Shame on Sega for not advertising the game properly.
I did see a few small magazine ads - but I think there wasn’t enough mention of it really.

But then again, maybe they felt the cost of advertising would not be made up in sales.

Yeah the same mistake they made with ALIEN SYNDROME. But really all they had to do was place a lot of adverts in magazines and in bold letters from the makers of star wars empire comes UAW. I didn’t even see that. Oh well no point crying over split milk.
