Sega talks Golden Axe

While many here have been airing their complaints and concerns over the upcoming Golden Axe: Beast Riders game (See George’s last post). I personally have been looking forward to this game.
I’m not expecting the game to change the world or anything, but I am hoping it will (at the very least) be fun and well made, and hopefully the video above will shed some more light on the game for everyone. I’m liking the look (and sound) of some of the larger beasts in the game.
I still think people shouldn’t judge the game until it’s finished and people have played it!

I still do not like the focus after seeing that. I do agree it may not be absolute shite in the same sense as something like Sonic 06′, but it still has obvious faults. I do not mind there being gore, but if the graphics are dated, who cares?
The music is also crap in that trailer and I expect it to be shitty as they have not shown any of it off. If it were good, they would.

They have not shown any new scenes!!! Why!?! The music is not really good too…
And the guy looks a bit nervous talking about the game. Maybe, they are too busy fixing the game to shown on the “E for Everyone” ??

Hopefully it will be more fun than Iron Man.

This game has been in development for awhile. It will be better than Iron Man.

Iron Man’s biggest fault was that it was a movie tie-in. I think if Sega/Secret Level actually made a whole new Iron Man game (based on old comics or whatever) then it could have actually been quite decent.
Anywho. I don’t think the visuals are all that bad really. Yeah not groundbreaking. But I would say solid enough.
Well I guess we shall all see soon enough. I think people are too quick to say “This game is going to be shit”

I’m liking what I see, and I thought the music was pretty cool (it fit the mood well enough). I only cry at the “5 playable beasts.” Only five? I was expecting somewhere in the area of ten to twelve, but maybe that’s just me.

GOLDEN AXE is a big title,
I will defiantly wait for the release.
Thank god since it is NOT a PS3 exclusive.

I don’t know why I haven’t said this before, but Golden Axe wasn’t Sega’s A+ Game.
The 1st one was awesome and with the exception RODA, all of them were inferior to the 1st one.

You are inferior to the average SEGA fan.
Many sequels are inferior to the first game, but does that mean they suck or something? Not at all. It is a good franchise with a nice amount of quality games. It should continue to be like this if they want to do more GA games.

I think Golden Axe 2 is way better than the first one…

Making Golden Axe looking like an ordinary Hack”n”Slash it’s not the best way to revive the series.
I’m not saying it’s going to be bad, maybe could be decent but as fan, i want more, i want a great game not just average.
Secret Level needs to have some ambition…

@Madsystem
Golden Axe was an ordinary hack n’ slash. Sure it was fun if you played co-op, but really there wasn’t anything especially good about it other than that.

I know it sounds stupid but Golden Axe was original or at least tried to bring something new to the genre.
Having in the same game little things like, magic powers, various characters to chose, beasts that you could ride and combos( multiple attacks) made the game different form all the rest.
I’m not saying it was the first game that brought those features, but clearly, it wasn’t an ordinary Hack”n”Slash.
