Sega Nerdcast 18: It Came From Japan
Posted by Chris. Filed under Chris. Tagged with Platinum Games, Sega Nerdcast, Sega Rally 3, Shiren 3.

Although we didn’t have quite as much big news to talk about as we did last week, we were still able to squeeze out enough Sega goodness to put together yet another Sega Nerdcast. In this week’s episode, we have Hudson and George joining Graham, Nathan and myself for an hour-long chat where we discuss more Platinum Games information, Shiren 3 and Sega Rally 3.
We follow that up in the second half with our second edition of Name That Tune, but the big question is will the Sega Nerds team vindicate themselves after last week’s embarrassing showing? You’ll have to listen and find out!

God dang! I wade through 40 minutes of this hoping to hear something interesting about Shiren 3 and all you can give me is that the Shiren games are hard but this one looks pretty!? PLEASE! The wusses might like to know that this might actually play out more like PMD2 since the character levels will be persistent and, if you don’t like the idea of losing items, there is an easy difficulty you can play where you don’t lose anything when the monsters kill you. So basically the TWO HUGE aspects that scared so many off have been nullified in this.

Good show, guys.
I finally managed to listen to this today and it was pretty sweet.
That Petz 2 was wow… It seems like the craziest game on a DS.
The music part was good, some of those games were obvious even with slighty distorted tracks.
And I agree, Crush is a pretty hard game to market…
Apart from Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, which is an already established franchise, puzzle games aren’t that sucessfull.
