Sega Commercial Saturday: Chu-Chu Rocket

We here at Sega Nerds have always loved Chu-Chu Rocket and fondly remember the days of our online shenanigans to this day. What makes this commercial great, aside from the disturbingly catchy song, is how cute it is to see a cat chomping on small, unsuspecting mice, and then see a rocket explode through said cat’s body.

Ahh, I miss Chu-Chu Rocket.

I always thought this song should be included in the actual game it’s really catchy and awesome.

On a related note I used to have this awesome chu chu rocket remix of that song from the commercial if anyone has it let us know!

No kidding, Angelo. This game has XBLA written all over it.

Strange song, sounds like a drunk irish man singing.

*Sign* there are still some puzzles on this game I can’t beat :(

Ryan, are you talking about the Lemon Demon remix, or another one?

“Chu-Chu Rockett
Save the mice,
Chu-Chu Rockett,
The cats are scary,
Chu-Chu Rockett,
The rocket is awesome!”

Hey Ryan, I have that remix you’re talking about. If you look up ‘chu chu’ on newgrounds you’ll find an animation to go with that remix as well.

XBLA? No way, this has wii ware written all over it (or both): just think how much more fast paced the game would be with pointer controls? And you could use the d-pad for placing arrows, the controls would be far more intuitive.
