Crazy Sega Nerds: Genesis rap
This is just for fun really. Someone on YouTube, InfamousChris1, made this video/rap as an ode to videogames. But in particular as an homage to the Sega Genesis.
Quite frankly I think it’s better than most of the sh*t I hear guys like 50 Cent coming out with. Not that I’m a ‘playa hater’, I like quite a lot of rap, but in the last 10 or so years it has gone down hill quite badly. I think InfamousChris1 should try and get a record deal and rectify the issue! :o)

Ugh…shut the hell up dorko, like rock is any better? Rap hasn’t really gone down hill you have ALOT of great influence from the GOOD artists, and 50 isn’t really bad, he just has his on type of gangsta syle rap than others.
If you gonna bash some artist get your facts straight, other wise just shut the hell up and don’t stat anything.

I did not state my opinion on this genre of proclaimed “music”. Although I would point out that I hate criminals, which are included in your example.
My point was this is stupid and annoying. The site needs to retain some dignity and this is removing it. Put real news or something actually interesting to SEGA fans on the blog, not this childish garbage.

How the hell can so many of you keep coming here and still not realise that not all our posts are meant to be serious?

-Just to point out, I did also say I do like rap. I wasn’t bashing the genre completely. Though I do think it has gone downhill a bit of late.
But it still stands - 50 (or ‘Fity’ as he says) Cent is beyond crap, I can’t stand that guy.

*clears throat* Hey all, DiGi Valentine here. Resident rapper of the NiGHTS fanbase. Quick thing i’d like to say about this is it’s nice to see people who can rap and maintain a good flow like that yet rap about something other than gats and ho’s. I respect him more for representing Sega because all these fassies rapping in the charts today keep representing gash like PlayStation 3 just because of the name, not because of the quality. Rappers like this i respect because they’re rapping about quality.
Lol…er….as for 50 Cent. No way is that considered real rap, at least not by me. He’s a showman, that’s all he is. If we wanted to talk about ‘real rap’ then i could throw this topic a bunch of names of people who do real rap…but that ain’t the point of this post now is it.
And i don’t see why people are complaining. If it irritates you that much then piss off, innit. Don’t bother posting. The point of Seganerds, to me, is to bring all the love for Sega into a nice little bundle on the internet so we can share and enjoy it. This dude rapping about Sega is just a small part of it so therefore it has every right to be here.

Still, I do not like sorting through bullshite to see stuff. You did not post this stuff before, so why now? Like I said, it gets even worse when we have ads taking up space too.

Gharam, digi, that’s YOUR opinion, i’m not a fan of 50’s music but it’s your opinions that he’s garbage, obviously his music’s legit, it’s considered “Gangsta rap” ever heard of it.
Look at what he’s got, and look at what you’ve got..yeah..that pretty much sums it up.

…wow…er, segakid, chill yeh? It’s just my own opinion of the guy. I couldn’t give a fuck about what he’s got compared to me. As i said, he’s a showman. Showman get paid a lot of money hence why he’s rich. 50’s got an empire? WOW! Good for him. But rap-music has never been about ..er..”empires”, it started from merely rhyming on streets corners with friends. Someone took it and commercialised the genre so now you have to have chrome on your car or else you ain’t ‘hip-hop’. That ain’t hip-hop, man. That’s just being rich. But once again, this is my own opinion on the music style and i ain’t really going to keep hitting this topic back and forth with you because it won’t go anywhere so i’ll just leave it as a case of ‘agree to disagree’ and that’s that.

lol, the NiGHTS crew have been coming here since Seganerds interviewed us about JoD and what we knew of it waaaay back before last April. Can’t remember which one of the Seganerds journalists it was who emailed us but after that we realised this place was pretty legit with it’s info so we come here now for our news on anything else sega related. This place is like a newspaper for all things Sega - it gives you a different bunch of stuff to read yet it’s all related to one thing in some shape or form :)
As for ‘joining the damn forum’ - *points to user name TRiPPY* that would be the main admin of the NiGHTS fanbase and my wifey also. So yeh, we’re here and hanging around.
