SGD08: Sonic Unleashed won’t feature hedgehog/human romance
Possibly the most disturbing aspect of any Sonic game (or any game ever made for that matter) was the creepy relationship Sonic had with Elise in the next-gen version of Sonic The Hedgehog. Fortunately, it looks like we’ll be spared any more bestiality as a Sega rep confirmed Sonic won’t be getting any in Sonic Unleashed.
“I promise there will be no humans making out with Sonic,” a Sega rep told the MTV Multiplayer blog during Sega Gamer’s Day.
What’s that I hear? I think it’s the collective sighs of relief from thousands of Sega Nerds throughout the world.

Elise was crushin’ pretty hard on Sonic, but Sonic never returned her feelings. I mean, I beat the game.
And the only kiss was when Sonic was dead. Elise is the creep in this, not Sonic.

From what I’ve heard, SNG featured a gratuitous human hedgehog sex scene. Wait! What! It was a mere blanked out kiss!? Damn! I was led to believe that their was actual bestiality in SNG!

Hence why this whole “ZOMG Bestiality in Sonic!” thing showed a real dark side of gaming blogs and once they began repeating the bestiality tagline over and over, it just sunk in and people eventually took it as fact… nay… as a belief and no matter what I say or do to prove otherwise, I will likely be shunned and ignored.
It’s pretty sad…

Who gives a fuck about whether they had sex or didn’t. Sonic the Hedgehog is rolling about in a flowery meadow with a human girl, like something out of a cliche love film. It’s disgusting and vile.
I’ve never played Sonic ‘06 and lordy knows now I never will do.

Yeah, the obvious WTF is with the different species thing. She’s 17 and he’s around 33 (15 year anniversary + age in which he started of sonic the hedgehog).
When are they going to bring back Princess Sally? (Despite her being in the TV show and early comics.)

Lol… disturbing video… and its good to know Sonic Unleashed won’t have a disturbing story! Well then again for all we know, Sonic Team in Japan could get drunk and completly scrap the original story for Sonic Unleashed…. SEGA Gamer Day reps can only promise what SEGA America knows ;)

segakid, I’m perfectly calm. You’ve perceived me as a drool spluttering mess. But my post wasn’t that serious.
Secondly, I was acknowledging the fact that nothing much happened between them, just the fact that Sonic in a Hugh Grant role is quite ridiculous. The whole bestiality issue isn’t the biggest factor for me here (I’ve heard the story of ‘mama Peach’ and Baby Bowser, nothing can scar me).

Sonic games were better when they had no story, or almost, like the 4 first Sonic on genesis, the characters didn’t talk, the weren’t saying stupid or childish things…
