Take a look inside Secret Level and peek at some new Golden Axe screens

SegaDawg, one of the writers over at the Sega America blogs, recently made a visit to the Secret Level offices in San Francisco.
For those that don’t know, Secret Level has just finished off developing the official movie game of Iron Man (review coming soon - don’t worry!), and are still hard at work finishing off the upcoming Xbox 360 and PS3 game, Golden Axe: Beast Rider.
While ‘Mr. Dawg’ was at Secret Level he managed to snag a couple of new game screen shots, to show us all.
He also was able check out a fair bit of concept art for the game. This one (below) is one that caught my eye, I hope the game world looks this cool - looks kind of evil and dark.

Unfortunately he wasn’t able to get his hand on the game, but did leave us with this impression:
As for experiencing the game itself, I didn’t see any specific gameplay, but the art and renders I saw were pretty unique, and I did see a demo of Tyris riding one particular beast that will deal some severe swipe damage with its claws. There are several types of beast mounts in the game, each with its own strengths and weaknesses, and my bet is that there will be points in the game where you have to ride a specific beast in order to accomplish certain goals — but that’s just a hunch.
Well we still need to wait and see some proper game screens and footage to tell just how the game might be, but so far the artwork and few screen we have seen, do make the game look fairly promising. Fingers crossed.
To check out all the images for the Secret Level visit, which includes more concept art and pictures inside the offices, check out the Sega America Flickr page.

The 1st picture, the office one looks horrible and it is quite obvious the Secret Level logo has been poorly photoshopped.

They still look plastic, something about they way they did the models that I don’t like. I’m possibly judging way too soon, I want to see this baby in motion.

RE: cube_b3:
Actually, the camera I used sucked, but as for Photoshopping anything, the only thing I did was use the Sharpen tool. I didn’t adjust the company logo at all.
