Fans creating Sonic 2 in high definition

About a year ago, we saw this beautiful image of what Sonic 2 would look like in high definition, and it was glorious. At that time, it was nothing more than a fan mock up, but the guys at Racket Boy are hard at work to turn it into a reality.
The purpose of the S2HD project is to remaster Sega’s classic Sonic the Hedgehog 2 in high definition graphics, whilst at the same time precisely preserving the original gameplay. New features that were not present in the original will also be made available.
The development team is hoping to add in everything fans loved about the original, but also a little more, too. They say they’re adding Sonic, Tails and Knuckles as playable characters, a new Hidden Palace Zone and entirely new sound effects. Of course, like other fan projects, they need more talented people to help this come to fruition; if you’re interested post some of your work here.

Racketboy has nothing to do with this. The guys at Sonic Retro are making this.

The guys at Sonic Retro are a bunch of no-life geeks whose lives revolve around unimportant bullshit. Hence why they spend thousands on old prototypes and then argue like a bunch of losers over the minute differences between different versions. I mean, honestly, get a real hobby, idiots.
As for the HD remake, I am not pleased about the “entirely new sound effects”. The sound effects should be kept as they were in the original.

Aw, what’s to do? Did somebody not get their warm milk and a hug off mummy before bed last night?
Your life seems to revolve around just as much unimportant bullshit as the people at Sonic Retro.
By the way, this Sonic 2 HD project looks rad.
