Gamestop dates Sonic Unleashed

An apparent Gamestop employee has sent some images of the company’s inventory list to Xbox 360 Fanboy that points to Sonic Unleashed being released Nov.4 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo Wii. Of course, there’s been speculation that the game will be released across all those platforms, but until now, we haven’t seen any real evidence.
A search on Gamestop.com confirms the release date, but you should know that Gamestop and other retailers often publish suggested release dates on games that are far away off. Oftentimes, they aren’t very accurate, but at least we can see the timetable the retailers are expecting the game to hit.

Release dates assigned by Gamestop are arbitrary, at best: they’re there because there needs to be a date in their database, I believe.
Even without considering that, though, I somehow doubt the game is going to be out this year, having just been announced.

Unless there’s some sort of crazy delay, I guarantee you this game will see a 2008 release.

Sonic games seem to pop up around March and November time every year without fail. I wouldn’t be surprised if it was released around that time.
