yakuza2.jpgWe all figured it was just a matter of time before Sega announced that Yakuza 2 would be heading to Europe. And we were right as Sega announced the sequel to Sega’s most over-the-top cursing game ever will be seeing a 2008 release.

“We are thrilled to treat the gamers in Europe to the sequel of the critically acclaimed Yakuza,” said Gary Knight, Sega’s European marketing director. “Yakuza 2 is one of the most requested Japanese titles in our portfolio and we’re delighted to finally announce a European version.”

Yakuza 3 has just been released in Japan, so it will be interesting to see how quickly Sega can localize Yakuza 2 before the third title is inevitably released in both North America and Europe.

I think western users should stop calling Ryu ga gotoku Kenzan “Yakuza 3″, if Sega brings this game here they will have to give it another game since “Yakuza” would be stupid for a game that has NOTHING to do with Yakuzas.

Oh and great news for Yakuza 2 ^^

They call it by it’s original name, Like a/the Dragon, would work perfectly well here in the West too if I don’t say myself.

Me so happy!

I don’t know what the word means in Japanese, but they could simply call the third game Kenzan when/if it gets realeased in the west.

I guess I have been saying that on every remotely Yakuza related post but : YAKUZA 3 rocks! Once it is released in the west, not only buy it no matter of you own a PS3 or not, but make your family, friends, enemies and even any stranger you encounter on the road buy it as well. They will be greatful for years. Yes, it is that good.

YES! I’ve been waiting for this confirmation for months. I love this series to death. Brilliant story.

I agree that we shouldn’t call the PS3 game “Yakuza 3″. It really doesn’t seem like a direct sequel, at all.

PLEASE can sombody tell me where i can download the ost to YAKUZA (RYU GA GOTOKU). I dont mean the actual cd soundtrack, but any where on the internet where you can download it on mp3 if you find it can you leave a link please. Ive been looking everywhere for these mp3s and have had no luck finding it, well known videogame mp3 download sites like Galbadia hotel and Khindsider dont even have it. so ive been looking for about 2 months.
