He is viking! HE IS VIKIIIIIING!!!
[gametrailers 31766]
It seems every time Sega releases a new Viking: Battle for Asgard trailer, the game seems more and more epic. Sure, it’s hard to deny that The Creative Assembly watched its fair share of Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings movies when it set out to work on the game, but the game looks to be pretty incredible, nonetheless.
In this trailer, we get to see Viking life before Hel and her minions come to wreak all sorts of havoc on the unsuspecting warriors. But as we’ve seen in the past, Skarin takes up his sword to lead the viking charge in defeating the evil that is threatening to destroy their world.
The game is set to release March 25, but if you can’t wait until then, just pop in Lord of the Rings: Return of the King.

You are aware that Lord of the Rings is beyond shit?
-Only remotely good one was Two Towers (for the final battle).
If this game turns out to be like the movie trilogy I shall be taking a rusty knife up to Creative Assembly.
However, the videos look so damn good - this is still my most anticipated game of the year - out of any Developer, not just Sega games.

I like Lord of the Rings, the only movie that wasnt awesome was the last one because it dragged on a bit and the undead was a bit silly but other then that, nothing wrong with Lord of the Rings.
This looks awesome too.

Graham, sometimes it’s hard to understand your taste. I agree with Ryan, I can only think of small minor flaws with the movies, but overall they were excellent.

I’ve been debating with Graham on the quality of the Lord of the Rings movies for a long time.
Peter Jackson stayed very faithful to Tolkien’s work, and Tolkien wrote about the ghost army in the books, and I was pleased to see them make an appearance. However, they didn’t just completely wipe out the entire army. They played a much more smaller role in the overall battle, but they definitely did their part to help win the war.
In my opinion, the LOTR trilogy could possibly be the best book-to-movie adaptations in our generation.

Lord of the Rings was pretty good movies and amazing books, I don’t know what your on about G. Go play Tomb Raider. Jackson isn’t that faithful to Tolkien’s work… don’t get me started.
I guess its not totally his fault…. i mean, the movies should have been made into ‘6′ movies like the books. The Fellowship of the Rings had 2 books, Two Towers had 2 etc. They should have filmed it and released one a year. There was some awesome stuff they missed. I don’t know why the added a love story, instead of more book scenes.
