Word slipped out earlier this week that those buying the PC version of The Club were running into a little problem. Apparently, Sega forgot to include product keys with some of the games, making it impossible for people to log into Games For Windows Live to participate in online play.

Thankfully, Sega has addressed this issue on its website:

“It has come to our attention that some copies of The Club were shipped without the Product Key necessary for online play. If your copy of The Club did not come with a Product Key, please DO NOT return it to your retailer for replacement. To have a key sent to you by email, please click here. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you, and will do everything within our power to get you online as soon as possible.

Ahhhh, how nice is that? Seriously though, it’s nice that Sega’s quickly addressing the problem, but how about throwing in some free stuff, eh? People like free stuff – it’s free.
