Phantasy Star II hits the VC

It’s Monday, which means Nintendo has updated its Virtual Console, and this week brings good news for Sega Nerds the world over.
Phantasy Star II has arrived.
Originally released in 1989 on the Sega Genesis, Phantasy Star II is cherished by gamers and many in the media as being one of the greatest games of all time. The RPG features turn-based battles, the customary epic story-line, and a large cast of endearing characters to help you save the Algol star system.
The game will run you 800 Wii points, or $8, and is rated E for Everyone.

Haha, I wish you posted some different art from the game to showcase PSII off.
I was never too crazy about II, but I’m very happy to see it up on the VC, I’ll be the first in line for PSIV when it hits though.

I would have preferred they release Phantasy Star 1 first, since they announced SMS games are coming to VC. PS1 is one of my favorite games ever. I own it on the Master System and on the GBA collection, and I’d buy it again on VC.
PSII I own twice as well, and I probably won’t be buying it again. But I am looking forward to PSIV being released, since I only own it once.

Same here Neal, in terms of PSII. I have this on the PC(SEGA Smash Pack) and on GBA(Phantasy Star Collection).
