We’ve seen a few gameplay screens for Bioware’s upcoming Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, but we haven’t really heard anything about the game. Well, IGN has interviewed with Mark Darrah, the game’s producer to help full us in.

Here’s a rundown of what was said:

So basically, the party will consist of Any Four Characters Who Aren’t Big! Duly noted.

“The game has been in development since 2006″

And these are the results…

actually the article says:
Mark Darrah “Development began in 2006 when BioWare started looking into developing for handheld systems. The actual Sonic project came along later. Currently we’ve got a decent sized team with over thirty people.”

He just answered the question oddly.

Classic stages… er… Central City was from Shadow the Hedgehog.

They didn’t say classic stages in the actual interview, they just said “locales”. And I still don’t know what the hell Blue Ridge Zone is.

@City Hunter: And the results are…um…pretty damn good so far?

Nuckles, City Hunter claiming the results to be unimpressive is just as ludicrous as you claiming they’re “pretty damn good” seeing as we’ve only seen a handful of screens.

And those screens have looked pretty good so far. Hardly call the claim “ludicrous”. Ludicrous would be saying the game is garunteed to play amazingly well. I’m just commenting on the beautiful backgrounds and solid character models.

Well, nuckles87/Nuckles/Nuckles87 does have a point though, turn based RPGs strongest points are their storylines and graphics with lush locations and good character models. So far this game has one of those.

Game is coming along nicely, despite being a Sonic fan though, think I’ll give it a miss, not much fan of turn-based RPGS (Only ever liked Phantasy Star, WildArms and Skies of Arcadia)

yeah but hopefully those portraits are indeed place holders. also, it was not implied that he was only referring to the visuals with his first statement. my mistake.
