This game is looking great. Every time theres a update, it makes me want it more. This time they decided to show off the mini games that will be featured. I don’t know about you, but mini games where my favorite part of Virtua Tennis, so I’m excited about the ones in Sega Superstars Tennis. The ones in these batch of screenshots are:

Are almost all Sega Superstars Tennis screenshots a bit blurry or is it just me?

I don’t get why SEGA isn’t dropping the Sonic 360/PS3 game elements in spin-offs yet. No one wants to fucking see Silver and those robots in this game, it’ll only remind you of not having fun in the past - which isn’t the point of this game at all.

Yeah :(

Hope the game will be more polished, at least on 360 version ^^

Hey, at least its not as fugly as the wii version. Check out these babies:

Super Mario Galaxy proved that the wii is actually quite capable in terms of graphics and polish. I wish third parties would stop treating it as otherwise.

You do realise that the game you mentioned is the highest budget game on Wii with the most attentoin put towards it by Nintendo itself, right? Don’t expect that from third-parties on, well, anything; Halo 3 is no different.

I thought those Wii screenshots looked fine. It’s actually the others that look a bit bad for their system, but these are low-res screenshots and the game isn’t finished. What bothered me the most was lack of shadows on things.

If anything, I’m hanging around the House of the Dead mini-game.

Kogen, yes. I am suggesting they spend more time and attention on the game. It was announced for every platform under the sun what, a couple months ago? Money has nothing to do with the level of artistry, and this game is sorely lacking in terms of art direction. It could still play like a dream, but at this point and with only a few screenshots to judge, the wii version looks almost identical to the ps2 version. actually all the versions look rather bland. A little style could have gone a long way.

And I expect quality from all parties. Sorry. A huge budget does not a good game make.

Galaxy’s been in various stages of development for at least half of a goddamn decade. I think its a little stupid to expect Sega to make a game with the same amount of polish as that in a couple of mounthes on a small budget. This is just a cash in game that happens to be running on a decent engine.

right. It’s a cash in game. Why is it stupid all of a sudden to expect quality? I think I’m using “expect” a little differently than you guys are. When I say expect, I don’t mean what I think is most likely to happen. Rather I expect/demand a certain level of quality from a high profile developer like Sega. And if that in itself is stupidity, then you are all wasting your time here for your expectations for this company have dropped below needing a website community for it.

pipe down there!… I don’t see how this is any more of a cash in game then Smash Bros is… I don’t think they would have got Richard Jacuques on the case and 80 tunes for a cheap cash in game.

Radrappy, what kind of style did you want? It’s a SEGA crossover game, it’s got familiar locations and familiar characters. That’s all that matters. What’s missing to you?

See but they’re all just straight 3d renders. There’s no indication of the individual styles that came with each franchise. Beat has never looked more dull and the backgrounds look hollow and empty even with the spectators thrown in. This is less apparent in the 360/ps3 build, but in the wii version, the bland really starts to come through.

The more I see this the more I wanna buy it.
Im not much of a tennis fan or gamer for that matter, but since the Wii Sports game it might be more worth it to me.

I did like Virtua Tennis on the dreamcast alot though.
Maybe this will be the defining Tennis game for the Wii. I dont thin Ive seen much tennis games for it yet so far. Atleast nothing good.

Just for the minigames and Alex Kidd though, I’ll have to dust off my Sonic collection of shame and revive it a little.
