Sega confirms UK release dates

by Graham on January 5th, 2008

Nights Wii

Sega has set out several release dates for upcoming games, in Q1 2008.

On the cards is NiGHTS Journey of Dreams, for the Wii (Finally!).  Which is now set for a January 18th release, although several online stores, including GAME, still date it for release on the 25th.  Also set for January 18th is Ghost Squad.

Yet Universe at War: Earth Assualt, has been pushed forward slightly, to a January 25th release, which is actually in place of PSU expansion, Ambition of Illuminus (originally scheduled for 25th), which is now confirmed for a week later.

Released on Febuary 8th, we should see the highly anticipated The Club, plus the DS version of Mario and Sonic Olympics.

Bad news is that Condemned 2: Bloodshot, has been pushed back by two weeks, originally set for a Febuary release, it is now due on March 14th.  Also the game has undergone a slight name change, and the subtitle, “Bloodshot,” has been removed.

PS2 and Wii racer Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity follows on the 22nd, and February 28th sees Bleach hit Wii and DS.

Dated for March 28th, we have Viking Battle for Asgard, and also Sega SuperStars Tennis.

    Yeah Saphion…

But to be honest, personally, the PSU expansion is probably the only game there that I couldn’t care less about playing…
Oh and I’m not so keen on Bleach - but I’ll give it a go.

Everything else is a must buy for me. :D

This NiGHTS game looks cool, actually it’s one of my reasons for thinking
about getting a Wii, why people say it’s game play isn’t as good as the Saturn version because of Wii’s conrtoller(s)? is it that bad?

If it’s that bad I prefer to import this one:

At least SEGA fans should not do negative advertisement for this game
in public, isn’t it great enough that they’ve tried to bring back a classic franchise after more than 10 years.

However, it’s always good if we can let SEGA to know about our suggestions
and opinions for making their next(NiGHTS) games better,
but it’s better to be in private.

Well Alimn there seems to be very mixed opinions on NiGHTS JoD. Some people are obviously disappointed - because NiGHTS is held in such a high regard, and people have perhaps over anticipated the sequel.

Others seem to really enjoy the game. Personally I found the controls to be damn easy (Wiimote takes practice but does work). I don’t see why people were complaining so much.

But in forums and places, I have seen more people hold JoD in high praise. It just seems to mainly be the reviewers who are complaining the most.

Can’t wait for Condemned, Viking and Sega Tennis!

Sega Tennis does indeed sound awesome.

If there’s anything even vaguely Phantasy Star Online related in there, I’m instantly buying it.
