The game will have increased save slots, additional save locations, manual difficulty level setting, optimized game balance, and let choose how fast the character moves. So are they all remade like that?

Hard to get a sense if it is, according to wikipedia it isn’t. Here is what i found:

Originally slated for United States and European release by Conspiracy Games, it was later announced as a part of the Phantasy Star Trilogy, a compilation of the remakes of Phantasy Star, Phantasy Star II, and Phantasy Star IV. The compilation’s future is uncertain however since Sega reclaimed the publishing rights for the United States and Europe. Sega currently has no plans to publish this or any of the other Phantasy Star remakes outside of Japan, and with Sega of Japan having seemingly abandoned their plans for a Phantasy Star IV remake in favor of a compilation featuring the original iterations of Phantasy Star I-IV, it would seem likely that this game will remain a Japanese exclusive.

Though we will find out more when Sega releases more info. I guess. Sorta disappointed at this, if they aren’t all remade.

The image used is from an early, early build of Phantasy Star Generation 1, which was released some time ago in Japan. The game art was redone (by one of Sonic Team’s artists, if I recall correctly) with a less cartoonish visual style.

Angelo, you are correct. I can’t find any other images of any of the remakes in its final form.

That early screenshot looks like fan art.

Remake screenshots and comparisons can be found here:

    Weird graphics.

I hope this comes to America, because I’m not learning Japanese to play this game. Anyway, I’m glad the Phantasty Star series is contuining. I hope to see Phantasty Star V on the Nintendo DS, or a new Phantasty Star Online on Wii. Anyway, I’m glad the classic series is contuining. Phantasty Star is the best Sega RPG, with Skies of Arcadia in a close second? Speaking of which, why isn’t their a PS2 remake or a Wii sequel of the game yet?
