Sega might purchase more companies
In the wake of Activision and Blizzard teaming up to create the biggest publisher in the industry, it appears that Sega is looking to get in on the action. In an interview with MCV, Sega Europe President Mike Hayes said it could be looking to make some new acquisitions
“The growth challenge is never over,” he said. “Therefore like most other publishers we are always on the look-out for new signings – product or company.”
The president also explained why Sega’s been consistently hiring new people. “We have taken staff on at a rapid rate simply because we have been building our infrastructure and studios to enable us to be a successful publisher through Europe,” Hayes said.
So with Sega now on the prowl for new companies, which do you think they should look to pick up?

My heart says that they should buy Quantic Dream(developers of Omikron,
Indigo Prophecy and the upcoming big unknown PS3 exclusive HEAVY RAIN)
But it’s more logical if they can buy a more famous company like Crytek
or even something like Bungie! WOHOOOO!

@ Kettle, hell no… Namco are dead, Namco Bandai are possibly the worst japanese publisher.
My far fetched Dream would be Sega and Capcom but since that will never happen I thing Sega should go about buying small western developers such as Obsidian, Gearbox, Petroglyph etc.

Whoever Sega has eyes on, it MUST get it before EA thinks about it!
