I should say, this game is looking like a smooth version of the original. Though its not a full blown remake, it is still being called that. I would consider this an ‘enhanced port’. But I guess an enhanced port of a 12 year old game, doesn’t have the same ring to it as a remake.

Unfortunately for us, this game is Japan only, as of now. The game will be coming out February 21st 2008, and will include both the remake, and the original in the same package for 3990 yen, also a limited edition ‘Dream Naitopia Pack’ 5040 yen.

Wasn’t it called “Nightopia”?
And that sure doesn’t look like a full-blown remake, even Sonic Adventure DX looks more like one than this.

Me and G where actually talking about this, It is Nightopia but it’s spelled the way I posted it in The-Magic box, hence the quotes.

We just thought it might have been called that in Japan? If someone can confirm me wrong, ill fix it.

Its probably got something to do with how the Japanese pronounce English words, like how Sonic is Sonikku or something like that.

So it should be called “NAiTSU”?

It’s a phonetic translation of Nightopia in Japanese.

I could be wrong, but in that third screen, that Nightopian is a polygon model, is it not? Because in the original, all the enemies and ‘Pians were 2D sprites.
