NFL 2K5, more added to Xbox 360’s BC list

by Chris on November 28th, 2007

nfl2k5.jpgWhat many gamers consider as the best football game ever made will soon be backwards compatible with the Xbox 360. Microsoft recently announced its new lineup of Xbox games that made the cut and Sega’s ESPN NFL 2K5 is on the list.

Of course, this is Sega’s and Visual Concept’s last football game together, and we’re very pleased that we’ll finally be able to play it on our 360s since most of the civilized world has made the transition and abandoned their old Xboxs long ago. However, NFL 2K5 isn’t the only Sega game that is included in this update:

  • NBA 2K3
  • NFL 2K2
  • NFL 2K3
  • NHL 2K3
  • Worms 3D

While we’re pleased that several Sega games are now compatible, we can’t help but feel a bit let down that we still can’t play Toe Jam and Earl III: Mission to Earth. In fact, I have it sitting on my shelf collecting dust, just waiting for Microsoft to make it compatible.

Toejam and Earl 3 is certainly coming. A Microsoft representitive mentioned it in an inquiry about downloadable XBox games, along with Jet Set Radio Future and Panzer Dragoon Orta.

No mention of Spikeout Battle Street or even the Sega published Otogi games? Come on, Sega Nerds. ;p
