IGN have a new preview of Sega and The Creative Assembly’s new Scandinavian action game Viking: Battle of Asgard, which will be released on the Xbox360 and PS3 in Q1 2008.
The game, which seems to be a spiritual successor to Spartan Total Warrior, will feature massive scale battles and a huge sandbox world made of three islands, where you travel anywhere you like from the very start of the game.Â
CA are promising a game that will last around 15-20 hours of your precious fleeting life. Will it be worth it? Only time will tell, but so far it sound like it’s going to be very fun (and bloody) indeed.
Not to mention, Vikings are awesome!
“While we’re showing you the battles because they’re a spectacle, we don’t want you to go away thinking they’re the soul of the game, because they’re not,” says Sutherns. “The battles are there as bookends. There are chapters in the game and those chapters are marked by the battles that will see you recapture the settlements that once belonged to the Vikings and now belong to the undead Legion.”
