We knew quite a while ago that NiGHTS would implement the Wii’s Forecast Channel and would allow your local weather to be factored into the game. However, we didn’t know just how it’d be worked in until now.

Apparently, the feature won’t be part of the game’s main single-player mode, but you will be able to experience it in My Dream, a place that features mini-games and other fun things little boys and girls like to do.

Why do the graphics in this game keep jumping from good to bad? Those screens look horrible!

Perfectly flat ground with paper trees and mushrooms is extreme.

At least the character model looks good.

The graphics look bad because Sega have left this part of the game until the end. We’re hoping that this area of the game will be spruced up a bit before it’s release.

I’m going to Sega Europe in Amsterdam on Monday to play this thing. I’ll find out then if this is the final version of the Pian Garden.

I still think Sega should have pushed the release back further. For what they want to do with this game, they need more time.

Hopefully the ground textures won’t be much of an issue when you’re flying above it. Furthermore, as long as the bad graphics are part of some kind of extra mini-game mode, I don’t really care. The main game still looks excellent.

Oh Sega. Going for quantity over quality once again it seems.

Ya, delays are good.
The pic there is to showcase the weather effects no doubt. It looks good too me thinks.
Though the trees and plants are obvoiusly toned down, but considering the fact that once you build something of larger scales, those trees will be more extras than features.
If they looked too good they would hinder the overall enviroment.
I beleive this has to be the “my dream” mode in its most early playable stage before you really build anying. Thats my guess atleast.

We’ll see for sure soon enough anyway.

Well, even if My Dreams looks like something from the days of the N64, at least the main game still looks good.
