Rumour: Golden Axe now a 360 exclusive?

According to French website Xboxygen.com, Golden Axe: Beast Rider is set to be an Xbox 360 exclusive title.
Golden Axe: Beast Rider is the main feature article in the latest US-based gaming mag, Play Magazine, where they are giving readers the goods, with details on the game and a load of images from the Xbox 360 version.
According to the report from Xboxygen, the new game will feature original Golden Axe beauty Tyrus Flare as the main character. Also stated, will be heavy levels of violence, such a decapitations, plus… nudity. (!?)
Until now, the game had been set for release on both the Xbox 360 and PS3, but if Xboxygen is to be believed, then it could be another game that has slipped from the PS3 release list.
However, it seems this news has yet to be confirmed. Luckily the boys at Kotaku are on the case and have contacted developers Secret Level for further information on the game. It could easily be a case of misunderstanding, and so far only 360 screens have been shown, a bit like with Assassin’s Creed.

I don’t have any personal interest in a PS3 version, but, with that said, there’s more money to be made in a multi-platform release, plain and simple. And even if it’s true, “exclusive” doesn’t exactly mean what it used to…

“Tyrus” is a typo or is that a new character? I hope she is not Tyris because they will go back in the saga’s story (if they are doing some kind of sequel)

So if screwing up the game’s appeal to older gamers who would instantly remember what Golden Axe is wasn’t enough, now they have to limit it for no apparent reason other than a Microsoft bribe? Also considering the game has a Final Faggotry arua surrounding it, it’d likely do better on PS3.

Landman: I thought that ‘Tyrus’ was also wrong, but Xboxygen, and Kotaku both spelt it with a ‘U’ - so I went with what they wrote. It would seem weird to have a new character who’s name was almost exactly the same (one letter different) than the originals.
If the game is really only on the 360, then there is surely a valid reason - I see/hear no sound of a ‘Microsoft bribe’ - as Kogen puts it.
If anything it will be down to money. BUT most likely it will be, that it is still cheaper to develop new games on the 360 than the PS3, and maybe Secret Level feel that sales on that console alone, will help keep them in the black.
But of course, these days, the way to guarantee decent sales, is to put games on all formats - just that is not always financially doable.
But, again, this is still all hearsay right now - the original source could be wrong.
