Sonic in Smash Bros. Brawl
Hey there, Mr. Blue.
IGN’s liveblog of the Nintendo Conference 2007 has confirmed Sonic will be a playable character in in Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii.
14:24: Smash Bros. has been delayed in Japan until January 24, 2008.
Nintendo shows a new trailer. Sonic is going to be a playable character! The trailer shows him transforming into Super Sonic.
The game will include online fights. In addition, it will have online cooperative play of some form.
What more is there to say? God bless us, every one.

I was watching the trailer for sonic and is that Ryan Drummond voice acting Sonic again!? Can anyone confirm this!?

I am not sure that I really like this mainly because I see the game as a bit of a joke, which I dont think fits Sonic at all. I will problably get it though to play with him and maybe change my opinion.

I thought the music was unfitting, I’d rather they used a better theme song. And I liked how they did his classic ‘moves’ like being by the ledge and the finger, but he looked so damn ugly doing it with that character model.

Somehow the sonic announcement wasnt as Epic as snake was.
First the model looks like it still needs a little work, though this is most likely nintendo’s take on the model. The eyes remind me more of the classic games than the new, but I have never figured out wh Sega insists on that bouncey springy animated look. I liked Sonic with solid limbs ratherr than rubber.
Definitly my replacement for Fox, of whom Ive played too much on all the other Smash games. Hes like the only real SPEED char besides the now avaible sonic.
Still, that music doesnt sound in anyway new like all the others, or even syphonic Smash Bros Brawl like. Its just the same old Live and Learn song. Though its one of the best songs from the newer sonic universe, its still kinda disapointing they didnt fix it up. Maybe they are rushing a bit with the sonic char?
Cant wait to hear some remixed Green hill though.
Cant wait to annoy my friends with that char now :3
If its a fast char, Im good with it. :3

I think the character model looks PERFECT. So good, wouldnt change a thing.

I know i’ve been told we old sega fans should just let bygones be bygones, but i don’t like this at all.
I am not in favor of Nintendo getting ANY sega goodness, they are. after all the enemy!
I know sony is more of an enemy, but still.
And i know some people will say “wouldn’t you rather have sonic on a system, then no sonic at all?” To answer that, would you rather eat your favorite meal on a pile of shit, or not at all.

I’ve been for like a decade in a half for this kinda of game with Sonic vs. Mario. I’ll play this game everyday until I’m a old gezzer. On Feb 10, 07, we will kick some Mario @$$ and take out everything in Adventure Mode.

OH MY GOD.
Sonic in Brawl is a dream come true. Using the Spin Dash on Pikachu and going Super Sonic in Bowser makes this game a must-have. Plus, Sonic in Subspace means a Sonic-like crossover with Mario, and players can dash through a 2-D Green Hill Zone with 3-D graphics. Plus, Sega items and Assist Trophies (AiAi with Monkey Ball = WIN!) could spice it up. And, we get Mario and Sonic for Wii before this, preparing us for the true showdown of Mario and Sonic.
And what’s with all the Mario hate? I like Mario and Sonic equal, and ever since the fall of Dreamcast, Sega and Nintendo aren’t rivals. Please, don’t hate Mario. It just sickens me.
