Streets of Rage 3 hits the Virtual Console

Um… yay?

Streets of Rage 3 hit the Virtual Console today for eight dollars. After the awesomeness that was Streets of Rage 2, many are probably asking themselves whether or not the final game in the trilogy is worth picking up. Is it as/more radical than SoR 2? Why is that kid so happy a bomb is going off? Can I play as a kangaroo?

All these questions and more will be answered soon, my fellow Sega Nerds. Stay tuned!

    Gameplay and graphics good.
    Playing as boss charectors, awsome.
Music, not as great as the last two :/
Defintly fitting, but no real tune.

Hmm, isnt this the first six button Genesis game released for the Virtual console?

This game is crap compared to Bare Knuckle 3, it’s too bad they didn’t release that instead. Hopefully we’ll get that on XBLA if they release it later.

I’ve played both and I prefer Streets of Rage 3. While there are a lot more differences than someone would expect when localizing a brawler, the biggest different is that Streets of Rage 3 is a lot more difficult. True there’s no Ash but he isn’t that great of a character anyway…
