Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity trailer

Here it is, the first trailer for Sonic Riders 2. I know many of you Sega Nerds won’t care too much about this one, but there are a few of you members who voiced their like for the original game in a recent article. So this one is for you, sexy guys.
I only played the original a little bit myself, but what I did play I thought was a fairly reasonable and enjoyable game. I hear it has quite a steep learning curve though, which is why some Sega fans may have been put off.
Anyway, the trailer shows off the general idea behind the game’s name - ‘Zero Gravity’ - as you can see, Sonic and company are manipulating gravity during the races.
I think it looks pretty fun, but no doubt Nathan will disagree since we never see eye to eye regarding Sonic games.
In case you don’t know, Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity will be available for the Wii and PS2. Enjoy.

Owning the 1st game for the gamecube I would say that it steered people away from it because of how difficult the AI for enemies was and so to win a race.
I really liked it though and this one seems to improve from what I seen on not having that trick to hang on someone’s air and then ride it all the way to victory. :P
Really like the music as well which is one of the features in these Sonic riders games that I like best.

Fank ‘oo!
This looks ace. I’m glad they got rid of the turbulence thing, it was a good idea in the original but it was annoying after the 99th time it stopped you from getting a shortcut.
Since when did anyone agree with Nathan on anything?!

I’m sort of shocked as to why they released those ealier bunch of screens, that made the game look like something on the N64, but this, is much better.
But the gravity control looks mighty impressive, to change the horizontal view of your rider so you can effectively ride on walls, well that looks pretty promising!

I wouldn’t be surprised if the Wii version was the only one that had online multiplayer.

Well, that certainly looks a lot better than that initial batch of screenshots made it look. Here’s hoping there’s a lot of Sega-themed extras, as in the original.

BTW, where do I find the MP3 of that song? That sounds like the best single song in a Sonic game ever.

Kijuna - I would have loved to post up the GameTrailers video, but alot of people (who use FireFox) say that whenever we post up the GameTrailer vids, the site gets screwed up and they can’t see them.
(though they look fine on my screen)
So I had to use a YouTube clip- which never looks as good. :(
But yeah that GameTrailers clip is definitely sharper, sexier and generally more ttractive. :)

I use Firefox and I’ve never had any trouble when this site or Joystiq posted GameTrailers videos. Not sure what’s going on there.

Its only this site that gives me trouble when a Game Trailers video is posted, nothing happens on Kotaku, Joystiq, Dsfanboy, PSPfanboy, etc.

Hmm weird….
I have heard about WordPress having issues with GameTrailers vids before now (we use WordPress) So that could be part of the trouble… But Angelo says it doesn’t affect him… so that is random.

Where SEGA goes wrong with this game series is giving it a Storyline..
It should be like Mario Kart.. no story.. just racing!
I also think they should stick to just using boards.. not hover bikes and what not.

I still think they should have just made another Sonic R! - That’s some decent racing there Ryan - and no real story (as far as I remember)
That game was so much fun back in the day.
Although Riders 2 does look promising.
