Virtua Fighter 5 new details revealed

Sega let the press play Virtua Fighter 5 360 Edition at this year’s E3. Why should we care? We shouldn’t since none of us got to go, but IGN managed to get alot of new details about the new version of VF5.

• Based on Arcade Version C: This basicly means that there is more balancing adjustments on the 360 version, since the PS3 version ran on Arcade Version B.
• More costumes: About 75 percent more to be exact, that means that I can make my Pai Chan look very cute.
• More AI personas: About 60 percent more over the PS3 version. This means all the PS3 AI will return with more then double more. This is great if you don’t have any friends or Xbox Live Gold membership.
• Downloadable content: Sega said they will release packets that will have 2 sets of items per character and not to mention the overpriced themes.
• No Lobby System: You will not be able to view other peoples matches on live like you could in Virtua Tennis 3 sadly.
• VS mode online only: meaning that the only is only for the VS mode of the game. It was sorta obvious, though.
• Save Replays: You can save replays on your harddrive but you will not be able to share them with friends online, like Halo 3.

Now that I posted a mix of good and bads, this is still a must-get game. I was happy when I thought it was going to be a straight port of the PS3 version, but this makes me more glad and unable to wait till August to get my hands on my copy.

For hardcore arcade junkies, there will be a Hori arcade fighting pads released on time for this game. So if you don’t like the Xbox 360 controller for a fighting games or are used to the arcade controls, I suggest you pick yourself up one of these bad boys.
