Rumour: Are Wii up for more Shadow the Hedgehog?

Nintendo Wii fansite, Wiiyou.com, has just posted up a list of upcoming titles for the popular system. Of the list, most of the games are (of course) made by Nintendo, but there are a few other companies there too, such as Namco and Sega.
One of the games listed is the upcoming Sonic sequel, which has been rumoured/pretty much confirmed, for a while, since the success of Sonic and the Secret Rings.
However read down towards the bottom of the list…..

According to the site (well the header atop the list), these games are (definitely) coming out.
So it begs the question. Are Sega mad? What with the all round raping, of the original ’Shadow the Hedgehog’, in reviews. Or have they learnt their ways and intend to make a decent Shadow game? I mean with no guns or vehicles and more running, like a Sonic game.
I’m not going to lie, as a character all round I think Shadow is one of the best in the Sonic universe. He has the style and the mystery around him, and he looks pretty badass… but then he gets his big gun out, and you know he’s just compensating.
Be very careful Sega, you have only just started to regain the respect of many gamers, please don’t go spoiling it now!

:/ Looking at some of the games there… come on, Sunshine 2? Mario’s not going to have more than one game a generation any time soon, I have serious doubts about this list’s credibility.

I think the list it bullshite as well. Honestly, Sunshine was a terrbile failure that sold on name alone, as did Shadow the Hedgehog. I really don’t think we’re going to see these again. And Metroid Xterme? I think you guys mean Xtreme, or Extreme, or maybe you’re fucking lying. A lot of these games do have others coming out in the franchises and it wouldn’t make sense for these to even be revealed yet if they do exist. So until there’s a press release or some sort of actual source for any of these other than simply the word of a game named ChaosLoveSmash, this should be ignored.
Also like some random site said before, Shadow and his game encompasses everything that’s wrong with the Sonic series and Sega as a whole.

I should point out - that its not US that made this list.
I’m assuming the spelling mistakes were theirs from copying it down somewhere else.
But I am with you, I think the list could be bogus… however I also thought it could be news worthy.
About 98% of that list I have heard of the gmaes to be coming out at some point, but Wiiyou.com could have made it up….

I’d find it more believable if the list said “Sonic and the Secret Rings Sequel,” as “Sonic the Hedgehog” was the name of the recent travesty that came our for the 360 and the PS3, but not the Wii. I’m not worried.

anyone can make a similar list, this is just all nintendo franchises that normally are released an consoles every generation so no big surprise any fanboy site makes these lists on the sega side sonic is obviously getting a wii sequel ans shadow sold very well so a sequel might very well be is segas plans for the future

I don’t think the big problem with Shadow was so much the gun mechanics, which I didn’t mind too much. The problem was the level design and the stupid mission structure. Dear god, I spent like 40 minutes on a couple levels. Either way, legend of sheik lol.

I have actually seen some very brief video footage of what was meant to be ‘Legend of Sheik’ - it was CG by the looks of it. Could actually be a real game….also could be pretty decent.

A Google search for “The Legend of Sheik” yields the following: WiiYou.com’s article, the reporting of the article on this site, a Youtube video mirroring the announcement at WiiYou, and an ABC news article discussing “the legend of Sheik Hassan Nasrallah.”

In all seriousness, if it seemed like a half decent/interesting rumour - then yeah maybe we would post it up - specifying it as a Rumour. And hoping people will take it with a pinch of salt.
-Also a fair chunk of that list consists of games that have been confirmed for the Wii (and a couple already released).
Then again if it is completely unfeasable, I doubt we would. I don’t think a Shadow sequel is entirely out of the question at some point….
But sorry if the article has pissed you off so much, that wasn’t the intention.

I really don’t see how this list of Nintendo sequels is bogus. Every game Nintendo makes is a sequel. It’s just a matter of time untill all of these come out.

I thing what confused G here is that Nintendo milk the shit out of every game series they have.. and most of us don’t follow Nintendo’s craptastic games so any of these could well be true for all we know/care.

Shadow the Hedgehog 2? I just hope they tone down the violence and guns. And a sequel to the Xbox 360 and PS3 Sonic the Hedgehog on the Wii. We’ll it might be a good game with the Wiimote.

Meh. If they’ve read and learnt from thr reviews, I guess they could make him lose the guns, and make the vehicles optional for those badass people. But I think he just uses the vehicles to crash into things like in the opening, lolz.
But every company has made a not so good game, even SEGA. And every game can be improved, that’s why they have sequals :)

Wtf Mario sunshine was great,I enjoyed playing it
Shadow 2-Possible,it may be great but only if they made shadow rely more on speed/attacks then weapons and such

i do think they shoudl do a sequal! but they shoudl release it for more then one system. like they r releasing sonic unleashed for ps2. they shoudl do the same with the 2 new sonic games to. that way there’s a wider range of opinions.
but hey! do it! since i really love the sonic franchise! i’m up for new ideas!
