Kidnapped Sega developer video a fake?
Posted by Chris. Filed under Chris. Tagged with Fan Stuff.
Do you remember back in March when we showed you a mysterious viral video about a Sega developer being kidnapped? Well, the video alluded that we’d find something out in April, and if my l33t math skills are correct, we’re now in May and have already past the date.
We decided to hit up Sega of America’s and Sega of Europe’s public relations staff and neither had any idea what we were talking about. We’ve also asked Small Japanese Soldier, the marketing firm we so expertly deduced is behind the video, but haven’t heard anything back as of yet.
Although it seemed like a professionally-made viral video, it’s starting to look less likely that anything we’ll ever see anything substantial with each passing day.
In other news, SoA said there’s been no word on Seaman 2 or Typing of the Dead 2 coming stateside. Hopefully, that all changes, though, because both games are looking very, very awesome.

Yeah I think most people did!
I mentioned it to Chris a couple of weeks ago - and we got onto Sega about it…. so far no joy.

At the time it really bugged me (”WHAT IS IT FOR?!”), I have no idea how I managed to forget about it!
Good luck with the investigation!
