A wile ago we reported a rumour that Guilty Gear Accent Core may be making its way to the Nintendo Wii. Well today its official! Did you ever doubt us? .. No you didn’t.

If you didn’t already know Guilty Gear is a 2D fighter from developers Arc Systems Works, It could be compared to games such as Street Fighter 2 or King of Fighters only with much slicker animations and more frantic gameplay. Guilty Gear Accent core, the version which is heading to Wii is an upgrade of ‘Guilty Gear X2 reloaded: The Midnight Carnival (what a mouthful) and it will be out on the Wii in Japan on 26.07.07

Your probably thinking, How the hell is a 2D fighter going to work on the Wii? Well the control functions with either Wiimote and Nunchuk or with the Classic Controller. Block maneuvers and special attacks are pulled off by depressing the key and shaking the controller.

Get ready for some real fighting on the Wii, not just that pansy-ass Smash Bros nonsence..
Oh I’ve done it now! For details on a Westen release date stay tuned.

You should do some research before you make a post. GG:AC is the offical version upgrade from Guilty Gear Slash. Also, it doesn’t matter that it’s coming out on the wii because no one wants to buy more converters for their ps2 arcade sticks. In additon, no one with half a brain is going to run a GG:AC tourney on the wii unless they want to fork over money for said converters. The dreamcast and the ps2 are the definative systems for playing fighting games, period.

On another note, this game will probably never be localized in the U.S for at least another 2 years. Guilty Gear: Slash has been out for more than a year and has been played in the U.S via importing or lesser methods. Arc has already announced they are releasing a guilty gear collection for EU and U.S ps2. This includes Reload and Slash and maybe a few others. Thanks arc system works and sony of america, you guys really love the fighting game community. If you really want this game, be ready to shell out 80 or 90 dollars for the game + shipping, and if your going to pay that much go ahead and get the ps2 version, because you’ll thank yourself later if you want to be serious about this game.

Dude, PervertQ clam down.. We just report Sega related news, weather or not people will be getting this game on the wii or if it will be brought to the west is irrelevant at the moment.

Oh and yes we are well aware that this is the upgrade to Slash but more people know about GGX2:Reloaded then GGX2:Slash as Slash didn’t make it to the west.

Don’t worry your pretty little head about it.

I’m just offering constructive criticism to help people make a logical descission on which version to buy if they feel inclined to do so.
