It looks as if Sega’s partnership with Sumo Digital isn’t ending with Outrun 2006: Coast 2 Coast. Sumo Digital has combined it’s popular Go! Sudoku series with the ultra hit Dragonball series. Sega is acting as publisher and the game should be arriving in time for the holidays.

Details and first screenshot after the jump.

Here’s what Sega had to say:

“Dragonball Z: Sudoku combines the kinetic action of Dragonball Z with Sudokus, the mind numbingly difficult Japanese number puzzles that are sweeping the nation. Players will have to use quick thinking in conjunction with fierce button combinations to aid GOKU and the other EARTH SPECIAL FORCES in combating the forces of FRIEZA, CELL and an all new group of dastardly enemies: THE SUDOKU FORCE, A rogue group of diabolical numbers escaped from the Home for Infinite Losers bent on world domination.”

Sega also says that an animated series based on the events that take place in the game, ‘Dragonball S’ is also the works.

Expect Dragonball Z: Sudoku to hit the shelves (then quickly disappear from them) this holiday for Playstation 2, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. I couldn’t be more excited. Finally, a game that makes me want to buy a Wii!

Holy crap! I’m not a huge Sudoku fan, but I’ll try anything with DBZ in it.

Sega has really been doing good this week.

The only other thing that could further enhance this awesome cross-over of epic proportions would be making the game controllable with a DDR Pad.

Sega if you know what’s good for you: Dance Pad.

DBZ: Sudoku? What was Sega thinking?

I like Sudoku, but if Sega’s gonna publish one, they might as well use it’s own franschises (like Sonic and Billy Hatcher) to do it.
