It seems my comparison shots of Alien Syndrome on the PSP and Wii has caused a little stir around the video game blogging community. I’ve even read people commenting at a few places that suggest we’ve, for some reason, enhanced the PSP image to further support my claim.

That’s just plain silly. I could care less which title looks better, I was just making an observation based on the images Sega released yesterday.

To hopefully put to rest any further speculation that anyone at Sega Nerds graphically enhanced an image for the sake of sensationalism, I present you the originally-sized images from Sega. All you have to do is just click on the above image, and you’ll see both shots at their original size.

And if that still doesn’t sway you, how about looking at the images directly from Sega? Look at the PSP version here and the Wii version here.

This is kinda lame. I notice now you’re posting up a different comparison pic. The first one you posted was comparison2 and now this is comparison3 and its aliased and jaggy all over the place. If you had posted this one first, I don’t think anyone would complain as the PSP image clearly looks pretty crappy. It’s just the resized one you posted below that makes it look totally different.

Also, the SegaPR site is posting images that are 799×450 yet the PSP is only capable of a resolution of 480×272 so these MUST be upscaled PSP images. I have no idea why they would do this other than to make them larger, but this gives no real idea of what the PSP version will look like. Surely you understand this.

What Chris said was the PSPs textures look more chrisp…
Which even with the images at the correct size is still true.
