Sega Nerds’ Sega PC contest – update!

For those that pay attention and/or listen to the Sega  Nerdcast, you should have known that we have been holding a contest, in association with Geekos – gaming and PC repair store- to win 11 (count them- Eleven!) Sega PC titles!

Now, for those who cared to hear the latest Nerdcast you will have heard that we have extended the contest by another week - until this Saturday, in time for the next Nerdcast. We have had several entries in, but we feel we can have more! Some have said the contest seems a little bit like “hard work,” but surely you didn’t expect us to just give you the prizes! And it’s not hard work. It’s supposed to be fun!

It should help exercise your brain a little bit, or if you care to use a search engine, we don’t mind. So far no one has received full marks for their entries. So the game isn’t over yet people!

To help tantalise you a bit, here is the full list of games:Some are old, some are new, some are classics and some are poo (hey it rhymes!) - Well, I would like to think that none of the games are “poo.” Though I know a couple some may frown upon, but hey, they are free and most of them are darn good!

So what do you need to do to enter this lovely contest? Simple, click on the link below and download the quiz. Answer the questions to the best of your/googles knowledge and then you can either PM me (G) or Chris in the forums with your answers. Or email back the answers to either chris @ seganerds.com or graham @ seganerds.com

No need to have the full question on your answers, you can just put the answers in a list and thats ok.

The winner is the person with the highest marks at the end of it. Should we have more than one person with the same result- we shall pick one of those people at random.

***Quiz update: One of the questions is wrong. There was a mix up when I gave the questions to Chris (I blame him- he blames me) so basically that question is void. Rather than update the question or add a new one, we will discount it- saves time and it’s only fair for people who entered the contest early. It won’t affect anyones scores - but the grand total of marks is now reduced to 59 points, instead of 64 points. Sorry about this, shit happens though.***

*Note: Some of the games may require a half decent pc to run them. Condemned in particular needs a bit of grunt in your system.

The Minimum specs required for Condemned are:

• OS- Win 2000, Win XP, Win Vista
• P4 2.0 GHZ (or equivelent)
• 512Mb RAM
• 128 Mb video RAM
• Direct X9 compliant card (ATI 9500 or NVIDIA 6200 - or equivilent)
• Direct X9 compliant sound card
• 8.0 Gb disk space
• DVD drive.

-Should you meet those requirements, you should easily be able to run any of the other games listed. If you don’t, please ask for specs on any other game listed and we can give them to you.*
