It’s a little-known fact that Sega started the whole Brain Training thing, not Nintendo. The difference is Sega brought it out on a little devise in their Sega Toys line; Nintendo later copied the idea and put it on DS. Now, Sega has made it for the DS and Ubisoft has picked up the rights to publish it in the West.

What’s so special about this one you say? Read on to find out!

Well in Ubi’s words from the website for the game:

Mind Quiz measures your “Brain Age” and “Brain Stress Degree” based on scientific research. Your degree of “Quick Mind,” “Brain Utilization,” “Brain Alertness,” and “Mind Activation” can also be measured through 14 trainings including unlocked features.

The game also includes several functions, such as Calender, Recommendation, Result Charts, and Multiple Play

Moreover “Mind Quiz” is different from other Brain-related software in below 2 points.
- It does not depend on academic ability.
- It was developed based on Scientific Research

· Mind Quiz measures your “Brain Age” and “Brain Stress Degree”:

3 steps of “Measure,” “Heal,” and “Train” is the basis of Mind Quiz while “Brain Trainer” only focuses on “Training”

· Mind Quiz reminds users of “Brain Stress” stratum existing above “Training Brain” Stratum.

· Mind Quiz improves the degree of “Quick Mind,” “Brain Utilization,” “Brain Alertness,” and “Mind activation.”

· Mind Quiz is based on real scientific research & medical accomplishment (ATMT).

· “More than 20 mini-games”, each of them improving specific brain features

· Follow-up of your improvements thanks to brain coach (through graphics, advices…)

Sounds better then Nintendo’s version, wouldn’t you say? The game is out March 23 in the UK and 13 for the US.

Yay!

I like brain games, alright? But, why, does Ubisoft have to take the credit for this game? Sega made this game first and Ubisoft puts in their site section for DS. Why does Sega have to take most of the credit for this game?

Other Sega games for DS I would like to be in America (with reasons and translation titles!):

*Shikaku Kentei DS into Cultural Learning: Puzzles of History - The game looks like a cutural-based game, and it looks like a game for puzzlers. Plus, Narhudo (Sega’s puzzle game series) needs some games in America.

*Touch de Uno DS into Touch de Uno DS (Sorry, but I like the name) - From what I seen on the site, Touch de Uno DS has to do with minigames, and I have a soft spot for mini-games, and the cute art style might win over some Americans.

*San Goku Shi Taisen DS into Shi Taisen DS - The series looks like a good strategy game seeing that the game has a lot of popularity from what I seen on Sega’s Japanese site, but Sega would to give a new licensed and some heavy editing.

*Fushigi no Dungeon: Furai no Shiren DS into The Mysterious Dungeon- The game is looks like a good experience of RPG, and the game is part of the Dungeon series (which includes Pokemon Mystery Dungeon), and the game don’t need much editing.

*Puyo Puyo! 15th Annersivary into Puyo Puyo Craziness! - The game is very popular in America, plus the game’s simple forumla makes it easy to play and learn. The game doesn’t even need much editing since it was put in America also.

*Jissen Pachi-Slot Hisshouhou! DS: Aladdin 2 Evolution into Aladdin: Adventure of the Lamp - The game looks like a different venture into the action genre, plus the Aladdin-based characters might win some American fans over. The game would only need a new title (the series never was in America).

*Bleach DS: Souten ni Kakeru Unmei into Bleach: Sword Strike Duel - The game looks like and comical game, plus the DS needs more 2D fighting games. The promblem is that the Anime series never came to America, so it would be hard to translate it.

*Kouchuu Ouja Mushi King: Greatest Champion e no Michi DS translated into Mushi King: Big Beetle Battle - The series looks like a good way to present it to America (the series has been in America), and the game might spawn some sequels in America.
