EGM reviews Sega’s Games of March - not good

In our first Sega Nerdcast, Graham and I talked extensively about the importance of Sega’s new games releasing this month. And according to EGM’s April issue, it doesn’t look like we should get too excited for what Sega has in store for us.
Here’s how Sega’s games stacked up.
- After Burner: Black Falcon (PSP) – 6.5, 2, 5.5ÂÂ
- Armored Core 4 (Xbox 360, PS3) – 4, 6.5, 4
- Shining Force EXA (PS2) – 6, 7, 4
- Sonic and the Secret Rings (Wii) – 7.5, 6, 6
- Virtua Tennis 3 (PS3) – 6.5, 7.5, 8
While EGM’s scores are definitely not the death nail in Sega’s proverbial coffin, they are definitely concerning. We’ll make sure to keep an eye out for the rest of the reviews as they come around.

I think you should keep in mind that EGM have it in for Sega,
Other reviews for games like Virtua Tennis are VERY different.

Yeah The VT3 score is total rubbish. Expect an average of at least 8 for this one. Have played it on arcade and both consoles and am hugely impressed. Sonic sounds about right. Unsure about the others.

I played the Arcade version and I WASN’T that impressed by the gameplay. It was fun, but not the fun I had with VT1 and 2 in the arcades. But I would expect the console version to be alot better.

I’m not one to trust the credibility of EGM’s review staff. They are quite biased towards SEGA, as you could infer, and they are very unpredictable.
