Clubbed to death…

Sega have recently revealed more information regarding their upcoming game ‘The Club’.  The new Bizarre Creations game has been shrouded in secrecy for the most part.  So far all that has been known is that Sega and Bizarre are working on a shooter and we have been given the name (still just a working title) ’The Club’, also that it will be appearing on the Xbox 360 and PS3.

But the lid has been lifted slightly, as Sega revealed a tiny bit more information about the title, plus one screenshot.  Yeah only one, but still better than a kick in the goolies. (Click screenshot for larger image)

It seems the game will be a third-person action shooter (from the given screenshot) with a focus on short street battles- lasting about 3-4 minutes . In each battle, the player will attempt to inflict as much damage as possible on the enemies presented, and there will apparently be a large focus on ’style’.  Your guess is as good as mine on what that means….perhaps some Matrix-esque/ John Woo type shoot outs are the dish of the day, but it certainly sounds interesting.

However, I will say that this does sound very similar to the premise of one of Sega’s latest aracde titles- Too Spicy.  Which involves quick, frantic shoot-outs, where you must inflict as much damage or, (best), kill your opponents.  And if the game is anything like Too Spicy, I shall welcome it with open arms- Too Spicy is one of the best aracde games I have played in years.

Still this is all guess work right now, stayed tuned for more concrete information.
