Rez on Xbox Live!
Posted by Ryan. Filed under Microsoft Xbox 360, News, Ryan. Tagged with Rez.
Details are short at the moment but according to EGM, Sega’s crazy rail musical shooter REZ will be coming to Xbox Live. If true, it’s great news! I love REZ, and if Sega will be supporting Xbox Live, it gives us hope that other Sega games from Dreamcast or even Saturn will grace Live in the future. We can hope! More on this as we get more info.

Hope. Springs. Eternal.
But…
Is there really hope? Rez? Chu Chu Rocket? OutTrigger? Baku Baku Animal? Columns?
If one cannot hope that these at least come to Xbox Live Arcade, then all hope is lost for NiGHTS, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Shenmue, etc.
Sad, ain’t it?
:(

I dont know how true it is yet, But Its what Ive heard, I would love to see Chu Chu Rocket and Puyo Pop Fever on Xbox Live Arcade.. among many others.
As Sega pretty much Runs the arcades these days youd have thought they would have jumped at the chance.

I hear the rumour section in EGM usually has some truth to it. And seeing how Lumines came out on live, a Tetsuya Mizuguchi game like Rez, and Ikuraga coming soon to Live Arcade also, I think it’s very likely we’ll see Rez and Every Extend Extra on Xbox Live. Rez will look fabulous in HD.
I can only hope to see Chu Chu Rocket as the downloadable online game it was destined to be!
I predict that upcoming feirce competition between Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network will open the doors to many arcade based titles. In fact, it might actually be a cool idea to have them serve as a platform for a number of arcade ports.
With big games like Tekken 5 on PSN, and Warhawk (recently revealed to be on PSN), maybe Sega will take notice and bring something like After Burner Climax to next-gen systems via XBLA or PSN.

This is a strong rumor and should be taken as such.
