Thanks for the input Turok. We tried a different VoIp client last week, and I really didn't like the quality. So we've switched to Skype and have experienced a much better boost in overall audio quality.

Yeah- I think I'll get my headset today, as I don't have much to do. -After listening to it again, I really do think my poor sound was the fault of my rubbish, broken (but free) mic. But also the program we used did often sort of 'stretch' some words as we were talking- but you don't really hear it on the playback- thats why we had some random pauses. But Chris would be talking normally like "Hi, my names Chris and I like Sega" - But what I'd hear would be "Hi my names Chris and IIIIIIII like Sega".

-Turok64 - when you say 'Intro' - Do you mean the basic introduction, where we said who we are and what we do? -If so, that was really just a one off, for anyone who doesn't really know the site.
-If you mean the music at the start, that should be changing every week. As will the end music I believe.

But again, thanks- all these comments are helping and we do hope to iron out all the niggles by next Nerdcast.

Alright the first thing is that you guys really need to get rid of the ntro, put something happy and upbeat. The other thing was it was hard to hear the best thing to do is use skype and get a real headset like the guy above me recomended.

I think this podcast was really well done for the first time. I enjoyed the DS vs PSP.

It's a good start, though I recommend you guys buy one of those $20 logitech headsets and just plan out the show a little more. Overall though I liked it, I hope theres gonna be one every week.

Cheers for the feedback guys!

-Regarding my poor audio: I got this free crappy little mic/earphone thing (it looks like an old handsfree kit for a mobile) with my copy of Skype (which my uncle gave me) And it actually broke the other day- I picked it up and it just fell apart (the mic piece). I did try to get a decent Mic/ headset - but PC World had sold out (seems everyone is doing a POdcast or WoW these days ;) )
-So I think it could be due to my shit mic. I hope to get a decent one by next week....maybe today.

Also- funny you should say that 'Sly'- we were planning to do a 'current games' thing - but we thought because of the introductions the show might be too long.
But that is planned as a 'feature' for each week. Good to hear that you like that sort of thing though- because so do I :)

Well any more ideas, comments, problems- feel free to contact any member of staff any time. And thanks again guys!

*Scribbles on back of hand- "Buy decent headset"*

If you guys want to really appreciate Virtua Fighter, get one of the Virtua Fighter 4 games on the PS2 (they're probably cheap by now) and play through the tutorial. It will open your eyes to how deep the game is, and once you understand it more you'll really like it.

Nice podcast, but I hope for next time you can get G's audio quality sorted. Try Skype next time if you're not using it.

Thanks for the input, Fox. We're working on improving the audio quality for next week's Nerdcast. That's one reason why we couldn't feature streaming audio.

I'm really glad you liked the show, and hopefully you keep listening!

Hey guys, I thought the show was very good, especially for a first one. I like that you guys don't take yourselves too seriously, because it's important that you have fun with it, cause we, the listeners, will then have fun listening.

Is there any way to improve the audio quality, btw? Graham's voice seemed a little muffled at points (not sure what kind of setup you guys use for this). That's not so much a critisism as it is an observation. :)

Anyway, I enjoyed the 'cast and look forward to more episodes. Also, don't be afraid to take a few liberties with time (unless you have a target timeframe you want to stick to).

P.S. Since every other podcast does it, you could also add a segment chatting about what games (Sega or otherwise) you've been playing during the week. Just an idea. :)
